Jackie Peters Cully

Jackie Peters Cully is a textile designer and a painter. She was born in Key West and grew up in Boston. Her art training began at the Art Institute of Chicago, where she received many awards for her drawings. After a year studying in Paris she moved to Manhattan and became well known for her high style textile designs. In 1978 she opened Jackie Peters Design Studio and at this time she also taught textile design at Parsons School of Art and Design. Upon her retirement in 1995 she returned to easel painting. Her many years in the textile field strongly influence her art, She moved to Sarasota in 2000.
